Major Depressive Disorder Journey Book
CLIENT: TAKEDA
THE NEED: A means of consolidating the key insights and significant information on a patient’s journey with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) into one reference book that could be distributed and socialized. The book was intended to be the go-to manual for anyone working in this therapeutic area on the client team.
THE SOLUTION: Worked in collaboration with the Lead Research Strategist to develop a visually dominant journey book that included: an overview of the patient’s emotional journey, key moments of meaning, summaries of the primary stakeholders and their roles within each phase, and rich evidence from respondents themselves.
The main challenge was in how the information was organized so that it was easy to understand and digest without being too overwhelming. Pages that opened up were used as a mechanism to present information to the reader in smaller chunks.
The metaphor of a painted canvas was carried over from the internalization session that was done with the client, so that the experience and the final book were thematically linked together.
